Our CIM doctors participated in a 2018 Case Study which shows the "first examples of reversal of cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease and the pre-Alzheimer's disease" using the ReCODE™ approach.
Of the 318 million Americans currently living, 45 million will develop Alzheimer's disease during their lifetimes if we do not do something to prevent and reverse cognitive decline. Many others will suffer from vascular dementia or Lewy body dementia or other forms of dementia. Loss of mental faculties has become the #1 concern of aging Americans.
The protocol provides a comprehensive personalized program designed to improve cognition and reverse the cognitive decline of SCI, MCI, and early Alzheimer’s disease. Continued research and testing by Dr. Bredesen began by evolving MEND into the Bredesen Protocol, which has identified new and previously unrecognized causes of Alzheimer’s disease.
1) Patients will need their own ReCODE™ accounts to have access to ReCODE™ reports. You will select Dr. Hagedorn as your ReCODE™ medical provider. To sign up for the ReCODE™ account, go to https://www.recodereport.com/patients/sign_up.
2) Some patients already have their APOE-4 genetic test results from companies like 23andMe and can bring them to the appointment. If not, patients can purchase their APOE-4 test by going to http://www.myapoe.com/.
* The blood/saliva/urine lab tests are at an additional cost. Many of the tests we can offer through Metabolic Code at a lower cost than what you will likely pay using your insurance or paying a lab cash. You will be shown the costs to help you make a decision how you would like to go about obtaining the biochemical lab testing required for the ReCODE Report. In some cases we can start with a shorter lab battery and then determine what additional tests might be helpful at the 2nd visit. Treatment interventions and ordered procedures (e.g., sleep study, thyroid ultrasound, MRI) are at an added cost and will vary depending on the individual needs.
